We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Nutritionist to provide expertise across ISS South East school contracts, ensuring that all children receive healthy, nutritious meals that meet legislative, allergen and educational standards. This role will play a central part in managing special diet referrals, delivering health and wellbeing programmes, and supporting the delivery of the ISS Education brand promise.

We are looking for a confident communicator and creative thinker who is dedicated to improving children’s diets. The successful candidate will lead on nutritional compliance, special diet processes, and education initiatives, while forging strong local partnerships and supporting internal teams with expert nutrition advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert support for all queries relating to nutrition and special diets, including food allergies.
  • Manage and process special diet menu requests and create compliant menus using the organisation’s menu platform.
  • Assess menus against School Food Standards to ensure full compliance.
  • Lead delivery, support creation and evaluate impact of the ‘Roots for the Future’ nutrition and healthy sustainable diets programme, including events and initiatives to boost school meal uptake.
  • Support delivery and audit of internal training programmes relating to healthy eating and allergen management.
  • Lead nutrition education within local community and council projects during school holidays.
  • Produce an annual impact report covering nutrition and special diets across the region.
  • Develop strategic relationships with local public health teams to support child health and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to deliver clear, accurate nutrition messaging and content.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
  • Degree in Nutrition or suitable equivalent.
  • Registered nutritionist or dietitian (ANutr, RNut or RD).
  • Strong knowledge of special dietary requirements, allergen management legislation and School Food Standards.
  • Confident and engaging presentation skills with a creative approach to programme delivery.
  • Passion for food, cooking and improving children’s dietary habits.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
  • Must hold UK driving licence - required for travel.
