Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate supervisor looking to develop their leadership skills, gain experience in a complex healthcare environment, and progress their career within the facilities and cleaning sector.
Reporting to the Domestic Services Management team, you'll be responsible for overseeing the daily delivery of domestic services and leading a team of approximately 15-20 cleaning operatives per shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising and supporting cleaning teams to deliver high-quality services across the hospital.
- Planning workloads, maintaining rotas, and arranging cover for absences and annual leave.
- Conducting quality inspections and ensuring cleaning standards are consistently achieved.
- Supporting recruitment, induction, training, performance management, and staff development.
- Maintaining accurate records, monitoring documentation, and departmental compliance.
- Managing stock requirements and raising requisitions for cleaning materials and equipment.
- Promoting health, safety, and infection prevention standards throughout the service.
- Providing hands‑on support with cleaning duties when operationally required.
