We are recruiting for a Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join a dedicated facilities maintenance team supporting a high-profile commercial and technical property portfolio across the North East, Carlisle, York and Scottish Borders regions. This role will involve travelling between multiple commercial offices and technical sites carrying out reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault finding, and general building services support. The successful candidate will be electrically qualified with a proactive and multi-skilled approach to maintenance within live operational environments. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Electrician looking for a stable mobile role offering regional coverage, overtime opportunities, and long-term career development within a major FM contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out reactive and planned electrical maintenance across commercial and technical sites
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs on lighting, power, emergency lighting and distribution systems
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in line with compliance schedules
- Assist with basic HVAC, fabric and mechanical maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and job reports via PDA or CAFM systems
- Liaise professionally with clients, site teams and specialist subcontractors
- Participate in the on-call rota and respond to emergency call-outs where required
Professional and Personal Competencies / Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition + ECS Card required
- Experience within commercial maintenance, facilities management or building services
- Strong fault-finding and reactive maintenance experience
- Comfortable working independently across multiple sites
- Full UK Driving Licence essential
- Positive and flexible approach to mobile engineering support
