We are seeking a highly capable FM Contract Manager to manage and lead a prestigious independent schools account, delivering a first-class integrated facilities management service. The role will act as the primary contract representative to the customer, taking full responsibility for service delivery across both hard and soft FM, ensuring consistently high standards and customer satisfaction.

We are looking for a strong leader who will manage the integrated facility service team and maintain close, trusted relationships with key school stakeholders. Reporting into the Key Account Director, the role is accountable for operational performance, staff welfare, compliance, financial control and continuous improvement across the contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure efficient and effective management of integrated facilities operations, including planned and reactive maintenance of buildings, engineering systems and assets.
  • Lead the delivery of cleaning and other soft FM services in line with agreed standards and SLAs.
  • Build strong, long‑lasting relationships with school stakeholders, becoming a trusted service partner to the customer.
  • Lead and develop the contract management team, identifying and delivering service improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and embed a strong safety culture across the team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reporting, including planned, scheduled and reactive maintenance and safe systems of work.
  • Own and deliver contract budgets, financial targets and SLAs in a commercially responsible manner.
  • Manage customer queries and complaints through the agreed procedures, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Professional and Personal Competencies / Qualifications
  • Management experience delivering integrated facilities services within an education or similar environment.
  • Proven leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to drive operational strategy and development plans.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications.
  • Experience managing technical infrastructure, assets and engineering systems.
  • Experience delivering soft FM services.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills.
  • Service‑ and customer‑oriented mindset with strong commercial awareness.
