We are seeking a skilled and fully qualified Mobile Plumber Engineer to deliver high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across multiple commercial buildings from Stoke to Birkenhead. This role involves a mix of scheduled PPMs, reactive repairs, fault-finding and inspections, with some days spent at a single site and others requiring multiple site visits.
We are looking for a motivated individual who can work independently, interpret technical information, and maintain a wide range of plumbing and associated mechanical systems. You will be a key figure in ensuring client satisfaction, safe building operations and consistent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs, testing and troubleshooting across plumbing systems.
- Repair cracked pipes, unblock drainage systems and maintain water, drainage, sprinkler and associated systems.
- Install, modify and repair plumbing systems, including routing pipework, installing valves, traps, unions and system components.
- Conduct leak detection tests and carry out soldering/brazing on tubing and pipework.
- Interpret and work from building plans, blueprints and manuals to plan and execute installations and repairs.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including maintenance records, work orders, and material estimates.
- Support client requests, highlight facilities issues, prioritise emergency tasks and uphold agreed service levels.
- Undertake contractor monitoring duties, issue Permits to Work and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Fully qualified plumber with NVQ or City & Guilds in plumbing, heating or mechanical systems.
- Background in FM or building services is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong installation, fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work across a variety of tasks, including building fabric duties when required.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, tools, materials and safety procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Must hold a full UK driving licence (role requires regular regional travel).
