Summary

ISR are looking for an experienced business leader with a proven track record of managing complex technology operations within the roadside technology sector, to lead an established operation delivering a suite of software-based solutions for local authority clients.

You'll have full accountability for business performance, customer relationships, operational delivery and strategic direction, working closely with international leadership while leading a highly capable UK team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the strategic business plan for the UK & Ireland operation.
  • Lead the commercial growth of the business, identifying new opportunities across transport technology and intelligent mobility.
  • Provide executive leadership across multiple customer contracts, ensuring successful delivery, profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Own the regional P&L, budgeting, forecasting and financial performance.
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with government agencies, transport authorities, customers and industry partners.
  • Act as executive sponsor for major projects, ensuring delivery to programme, budget and quality expectations.
  • Lead, develop and mentor a multidisciplinary leadership team.
  • Work closely with global executive leadership to align regional strategy with wider business objectives.
  • Represent the business at industry events, working groups and customer forums.
  • Drive a culture focused on innovation, continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven senior leadership experience within Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), roadside technology, or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary operational, technical and commercial teams, with responsibility for developing high-performing leaders.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing P&L (£9M+), budgeting, forecasting, pricing and overall business performance.
  • Extensive experience building and maintaining executive-level relationships with customers, public sector organisations, partners and key industry stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to oversee the successful delivery of large, complex technology programmes while balancing commercial, operational and customer objectives.
  • Experience identifying new business opportunities, developing growth strategies and supporting business development initiatives within the transportation technology sector.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to represent the business at board level and within the wider industry.
  • Strategic, results-driven leader with the ability to make sound commercial decisions, drive continuous improvement and foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture.
