The Opportunity: Our client is on the lookout for a proactive Business Development Manager to promote their range of vehicle and pedestrian access control hardware and SaaS solutions, driving growth across the whole product line. You will focus on developing relationships and maximising market share of hospitals, airports, shopping centres and stadiums, working autonomously to develop a comprehensive sales strategy in your vertical. You will come from a technical sales background, ideally with electronic device or software aimed at engineering or infrastructure applications. Any experience in roadside technology (ANPR, CCTV, RPID, Message Signs, EV charging, etc.) would be highly beneficial.
Skills and Experience:
- You will have a track record of successful new business development across hardware and SaaS products.
- You’ll be goal oriented, resilient, and have the ability to self-motivate and manage within an unstructured environment.
- A proven background maintaining sales pipelines and delivering against realistic targets.
- Professional sales and negotiation training (e.g. SPIN, Miller Heiman, Challenger Sales) would be highly beneficial.
- A full driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Pro-actively selling across the company’s entire product portfolio, building a comprehensive sales strategy.
- Directly manage the most complex, high value and strategically important customer accounts and national frameworks.
- Act as the regional subject matter expert, staying abreast of industry trends and product development opportunities.
- Attend face to face meetings with new and existing clients across your vertical, as well as attending industry events and trade shows.
