Systems Repair Technician (Hardware/Software)

The Opportunity:

I’m on the lookout for an ambitious Electronics/Hardware Technician who is looking to on their existing IT knowledge in a multi-skilled Systems Repair Tech role.

You will join a team who are responsible for troubleshooting and repairing cutting edge roadside technology, focussing on hardware, software and networking related issues.

The ideal candidate will come from an electronics/hardware background with experience fault finding to board level, who also has exposure to or a keen interesting in IT and software.

Training will be provided to cover any gaps in IT knowledge, as well as being presented with opportunities to pick up additional skills and responsibilities.

Skills and Experience:

  • A background in diagnosing and troubleshooting electronics/hardware
  • Fault finding to board level
  • A keen interest or exposure to dealing with software issues (operating systems, config files)
  • Knowledge/exposure to IT Networking (IP, LAN, WAN, Routing, etc.)
  • A willingness to learn and develop your skill set in order to advance within the company structure
  • Able to pass basic criminal background checks

Location: Onsite in Southampton

Earnings: £35,000 to £40,000 per year
