My client is a highly successful South West of England based company currently looking for a Head of Sales to be accountable for delivering the sales objectives - both acquisition and retention - providing effective and motivational leadership of the sales function. You will take responsibility for all their direct sales channels (field, desk and resellers) and segments (consumer and business) and look to maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of each direct sales channel, ensuring productivity together with the adoption of best practices and new technologies where applicable.
Key Responsibilities:
- 10 years of working experience in a sales position within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment, preferably working in the position of a Senior Sales Manager.
- A proven and successful ability to lead a group of sales personnel towards growth in enhanced sales volumes and enhanced revenue generation, with exceptional leadership skills and confidence.
- Experience evaluating product/market situations and analysing raw data and information, transforming it into actionable sales strategies and approaches/reports.
- Drive other sales managers to get the best out of their teams.
- Support the development of a high-performance sales culture and show courage in driving sales momentum.
- Conduct internal sales meetings to ensure that the sales function is motivated, informed, equipped and supported in achieving their objectives.
- Ongoing performance management of the sales function to identify, develop and support the strongest performers and to identify, manage and support the lowest performers on a continuous improvement basis, including people reviews and performance management processes as required.
- Must have B2C and B2B experience managing a large sales team across both areas and have a proven track record of hitting Sales Targets on a regular basis.
