ISR Recruitment is currently supporting a Multi-Academy Trust with the appointment of an Infrastructure and Change Engineer to join its IT Services team based in Wiltshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable IT professional who enjoys working across infrastructure, technology change and project delivery, and who wants to play a key role in improving IT services across a network of schools.

Working closely with the IT Services Manager, Head of IT and Infrastructure and Change Coordinator, you will support the delivery of the Trust's strategic IT roadmap, helping to plan, implement, test and support technology changes across its schools.

The role combines hands-on technical engineering with change delivery, so you will need to be comfortable working with IT systems and infrastructure while also being organised, collaborative and focused on delivering change successfully.

We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation who is keen to develop their career across IT Infrastructure and Change.

You may currently be working as an

Candidates will ideally have experience of supporting or implementing IT infrastructure, systems or applications, together with an understanding of how technology changes should be planned, tested, implemented and supported.

  • Practical experience supporting IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Experience implementing or supporting IT change, upgrades, migrations or deployments.
  • An understanding of change management and controlled implementation processes.
  • Experience of testing and validating technical changes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to document technical work clearly and accurately.
  • Experience working collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
