We are seeking a highly capable Systems Technician with a strong electronic background and hands-on experience working with technical systems. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating standard workshop test equipment, following structured procedures, and assisting with system diagnostics to board level.
You will have the ability to conduct comprehensive testing on electronic components and create step-by-step test documentation. Training will be provided to cover any gaps in IT knowledge, but a working understanding of various aspects of IT, including traditional IP Networks, troubleshooting software and fault-finding hardware issues would be highly beneficial.
Skills and Experience:- A background in testing, fault-finding and troubleshooting electronics at board level
- A solid understanding of system-level interactions and basic circuit behaviour
- Experience of creating step-by-step test documents
- A keen interest or exposure to dealing with software issues (operating systems, config files)
- Experience using key electronic test equipment, including: Digital Voltmeter (DVM), Bench Power Supply (PSU), Oscilloscope
NB: Candidates must be able to pass basic criminal background checks before commencing in this role.
Role and Responsibilities:- Create clear, structured test procedures for system evaluation, validation, and troubleshooting
- Perform fault-finding activities down to board level (not component level)
- Document results from testing and fault-finding activities and provide feedback to engineering and project teams
- Correctly set up and operate a workshop bench power supply (PSU)
- Comply with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
