The Opportunity: We are currently looking for engineers with a strong background in the maintenance and repair of roadside technologies such as cameras, message signs and detectors. You will work in a field-based capacity covering assets deployed around the South East of England, conducting reactive and preventative maintenance activities as well as calibration and commissioning.

I am happy to speak to individuals coming from backgrounds in telecoms, CCTV/ANPR, security and alarms systems with some electrical knowledge/qualifications, particularly if you have any knowledge or interest in LAN and WAN Networks and IP Configuration.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a maintenance engineer
  • Experience of fault finding equipment at component level
  • Hands on experience with CCTV, ANPR or roadside technology (Highly Desirable)
  • Networking knowledge or certifications (CCNA/Comp TIA, etc.) (Desirable)
  • Current G39, HERS8, NRSWA, NHSS8 Qualification (Highly Desirable)
  • Full UK drivers licence

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Fault response and repair of roadside equipment
  • Carry out routine maintenance visits on all equipment in line with provided schedule
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce fault rates
  • Carry out fault finding to component level
  • Root cause analysis of system faults
  • Coordinate with the lead engineers to arrange maintenance and inspection schedules
