- Installing cable containment systems, including conduits, trunking, cable trays and baskets.
- Working closely with the project management team to ensure installations are completed within project timelines.
- Testing and troubleshooting cable systems to ensure proper functioning of connected devices.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and method statements.
- Having use of your own vehicle, with a full clean driving licence (overnight accommodation paid for by the company).
- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in data cabling and being based in the Surrey area.
The Opportunity:
My client, working within the telecommunications sector, is currently looking for a Data Cabling Engineer on a contract basis. In this role, you will work within the core delivery team and be required to work on internal and external copper and fibre cabling installations, doing install, terminate and test cabling to the highest standards, as well as deploying containment systems such as conduit, trunking, tray and basket. You will work in varied environments, including offices, manufacturing plants, construction sites and data centres, which will occasionally require travel and overnight stays as required by projects.
