The Opportunity:
My client is a charity organisation currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer on a permanent basis. Working as the Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the digital platforms, from their main website to web-based tools and applications that support their beneficiaries and staff. You'll work closely with communications, data, and project teams to ensure online presence is reliable, engaging, and inclusive. You will balance hands-on coding with strategic thinking, identifying opportunities to improve user journeys, accessibility, and the overall digital experience.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong Front End development skills using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with Front End JavaScript, vanilla/jQuery or frameworks such as React/Vue.js/Angular.
- Proficiency in PHP for building robust, secure, and maintainable applications.
- Understanding of database design and management (MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
