Skills and Experience:
- Review the design of existing product and highlight improvements to stability, reliability and operability to improve the overall process performance.
- Evaluate design proposals to upgrade or improve products and/or provide cost savings from alternative equipment suppliers.
- Develop technical specifications and functional requirements for the procurement of complete control system solutions, including software definition and support.
- Maintain and improve control programming.
- Work closely with process engineer to define and assess process safety requirements and control specifications to ensure safe and compliant solutions.
- Understanding of safety standards and hazard analysis and risk assessment.
- Specification and selection of instrumentation and control components.
- Development and maintenance of operational control software.
- Preparation of control system procurement specifications.
The Opportunity:
My client working within the renewable energy sector are looking for a Systems Engineer on a permanent basis. In this role, the systems engineer is required to oversee the design of existing products with my client's growing portfolio. This also includes the evaluation and delivery of their key upgrade programmes and change management.
You will need a full driving licence for this role as you are required to go to different sites when required. You must be South West based; anyone outside of the South West won’t be considered due to client and customer requirements and SLA’s.
