Skills and Experience:
- Enthusiasm to learn new systems and skills, with a demonstrable interest in IT and minimum 6 months experience in a commercial environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer literacy
- Confident in using MS operating systems and MS Office 365 products (Word, Outlook and Excel)
- Self-motivated and proactive, able to troubleshoot
- Excellent organisational skills
- Understanding of a range of IT software and hardware
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st line support to all users offering them support and guidance in the use of operating systems and associated software
- Develop skills and knowledge across various areas of IT support and systems
- Support the preparation, maintenance and refurbishment of IT equipment
The Opportunity:
Our client based in the private sector is currently looking for a 1st Line IT Engineer with a can-do attitude who is willing and able to support the IT needs of staff across the business. The successful applicant will provide day-to-day support and assistance to the existing IT team in relation to hardware, software and general IT issues within the business. The successful candidate will receive training across a variety of tasks in order to gain broad experience within a small and busy IT Department. Suitable candidates will ideally be based within commuting distance of Taunton.
