My client working within the telecoms sector are currently on the lookout for a WordPress Digital Developer to design, implement and maintain software systems that ultimately support and enhance the customer journey, increasing the UI and UX experience. This is a hybrid-role and you will be required to attend the office a few times a week.
Skills and Experience
- Own and maintain the WordPress platform, ensuring performance, security, stability, and scalability across all environments (development, staging, production).
- Translate marketing and campaign requirements into high-quality WordPress implementations, delivering rapid turnaround while maintaining technical integrity.
- Design and implement custom themes, templates, and components aligned to brand guidelines and UX best practice.
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Integrate WordPress seamlessly with downstream systems (e.g. CRM, payment platforms, marketing automation, analytics tools) to ensure accurate data capture and flow.
- Implement structured data capture mechanisms (forms, tracking events, UTM frameworks) to support clear attribution, conversion tracking and performance measurement.
- Ensure website data is consistently and reliably exposed to the insights team, working closely with BI and technology teams to validate data accuracy and integrity.
- Optimise site performance, including page speed, Core Web Vitals, SEO structure, and technical hygiene to support acquisition and conversion goals.
- Manage plugins, updates, and security controls, ensuring minimal vulnerability exposure and adherence to governance standards.
- Develop and maintain documentation covering site architecture, integrations, deployment processes and data flows.
- Monitor website performance metrics (traffic, conversion rates, form submissions, campaign impact) and proactively identify improvements to enhance user experience and commercial outcomes.
