The Opportunity:

My client is a technology software consultancy currently looking for a Web Developer. You will become a vital member of their development team, working with the Senior Developer and playing an important role in supporting the growth of the business. You will need to be able to work under your own initiative as well as part of the team. Multi-tasking is essential, and their team often works in a high-pressured environment.

The role will involve hands-on experience with building websites to a design brief, including all necessary development, styling, and content population, as well as dealing with clients, colleagues, and client deadlines.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Joomla, WordPress or Shopify
  • Confident in web hosting, email setup and content updates
  • Skilled with PHP / SQL / HTML / CSS / JavaScript or other languages
  • A keen interest in learning new development skills
  • At least a degree in some kind of IT related field with a keen interest shown in obtaining a career in this area
  • A strong knowledge of both front-end and back-end web development
  • The ability to work with popular website content management systems
  • The ability to provide technical support to our client’s email and their hosting clients
  • Problem solving skills, and the ability to think and research under your own steam
