ISQ Recruitment is supporting a well-established commercial vehicle operation in Oxford with the recruitment of an experienced LCV Van Technician to join their busy workshop team.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled vehicle technician who enjoys working in a professional, fast-paced environment where quality, safety and compliance are key. You will be responsible for carrying out inspections, servicing, repairs and diagnostic work on commercial vehicles, helping to keep customers' fleets operating safely and efficiently.
The role would suit a qualified technician with a strong background in commercial vehicle maintenance, diagnostics and repair, who is looking for a stable long-term opportunity with ongoing training, overtime availability and genuine progression potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out major and minor repairs on commercial vehicles
- Complete regular inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose faults and support repair planning with the wider workshop team
- Identify worn or faulty components in line with DVSA standards
- Complete vehicle records, job cards, warranty paperwork and relevant documentation
- Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting where required
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment
- Work to agreed timescales while maintaining high standards of workmanship
Candidate Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in HGV, LGV or commercial vehicle repair and maintenance, such as NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI
- Experience carrying out servicing, diagnostics and repairs on commercial vehicles
- Good understanding of DVSA standards and vehicle compliance requirements
- Ability to work accurately and safely in a busy workshop environment
- Strong attention to detail and a reliable, team-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence, ideally with relevant vehicle categories
Working Hours
40 hours per week, working alternate shifts:
- 07:30 - 16:00
- 13:30 - 22:00
Overtime is available and paid at time and a half.
