Location: Trafford Park, Manchester

Salary: Up to £35,630 per year

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Working Hours: 44 hours per week (Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:30, Friday 07:00-15:30)

This is an excellent opportunity to join a skilled workshop team building and installing high-quality vehicle bodies for commercial and refrigerated vehicles. This role sits at the centre of the production process, supporting the build, installation and finishing of specialist vehicle bodies. It would suit someone practical and hands-on who enjoys working with tools, interpreting drawings and seeing a project come together from start to finish.

If you have previous experience within vehicle bodybuilding, fabrication, manufacturing or coachbuilding and take pride in producing work to a high standard, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders to complete vehicle builds
  • Install insulated panels and structural components on commercial vehicle bodies
  • Carry out electrical termination of lighting systems, switches and tail lifts
  • Seal joints, floors and roofs using silicone and specialist coatings
  • Cut and shape materials including metals, wood and plastics using hand and bench tools
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the workshop and work areas
  • Follow company health & safety procedures and quality standards at all times
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience in vehicle bodybuilding, coachbuilding or manufacturing
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings or build instructions
  • Experience using hand tools, bench saws and measuring equipment safely
  • Strong attention to detail with pride in producing high-quality work
  • Reliable with good timekeeping and a proactive approach to work
  • Ability to travel reliably to the Trafford Park site

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:30, Friday: 07:00 - 15:30, 44 hours per week with some flexibility where required.
