A great opportunity has become available for an experienced Light Commercial Vehicle Service Technician & MOT Tester (Class 4 & 7) to join a busy and well-structured commercial vehicle workshop in the Heathrow area. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys varied work, can handle MOT requirements confidently, and is keen to continue progressing within the LCV sector.
About the Role
- Working within a fast-paced LCV service department, you will:
- Carry out MOT tests for Class 4 and 7 vehicles
- Complete routine servicing, inspections, and safety checks
- Diagnose and repair a range of mechanical and electrical issues
- Maintain high standards of accuracy within manufacturer and compliance guidelines
- Support workshop efficiency by ensuring work is completed to schedule
- Keep service documentation, job cards, and system entries updated
- Participate in continuous technical development through ongoing training
This role combines hands-on MOT testing responsibilities with day-to-day servicing and repair tasks across a modern LCV fleet.
What We're Looking For
- Experienced Vehicle Technician with strong LCV background
- Qualified MOT Tester (Class 4 & 7)
- Level 3 qualification preferred, but time-served technicians with proven experience will be considered
- Confident diagnostic and mechanical repair capabilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment
- Understanding of workshop safety and compliance
- A flexible and proactive approach to workload
- Desirable: Brand diagnostic accreditation, EV qualification (qualifies for additional £2,000 earnings)
Hours & Pay Structure
- Salary: £35,000 basic + overtime at 1.5x OTE: Up to £47,966+ per year (uncapped)
- Monday to Friday - standard workshop hours
- 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, paid at 1.5x
- Overtime available during weekdays and weekends (all at 1.5x)
- OTE includes approx. 4 hours overtime per week but is uncapped
