An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Technician to join a leading commercial vehicle service centre in the London area. This permanent role offers excellent earning potential, structured working hours, and access to continuous training and development within a modern, well-equipped workshop.
Key Responsibilities- Completing all mechanical and electrical repairs following diagnostic reports
- Carrying out component replacements, system repairs, and correction of identified faults
- Performing routine servicing, maintenance inspections, and safety checks
- Ensuring all repair work aligns with manufacturer guidelines and standards
- Following detailed job instructions provided by senior or diagnostic technicians
- Completing job cards, repair documentation, and digital service records
- Working efficiently to support workshop productivity and turnaround times
- Assisting with complex repairs when required and supporting junior technicians
- Maintaining high standards of workshop safety and vehicle compliance
- Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI).
- Proven experience working on HGVs or trailers in a dealership or fleet environment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with attention to quality and safety.
- Full UK driving licence (HGV desirable but not essential).
- Professional attitude, teamwork, and commitment to high service standards.
- Competitive base salary up to £40,000 plus overtime at 1.5x.
- 20 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, with extra leave over time.
