ISQ Recruitment is recruiting for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join a busy warehouse and logistics operation in the Bradford area. This is an electrically biased role covering planned maintenance, fault finding, compliance checks, reactive repairs and general site support across a large operational facility. The focus is on facilities, building services and site equipment, rather than production line maintenance.

The role would suit someone with electrical maintenance experience from a warehouse, logistics, industrial, commercial or building services background. You will need to be confident with electrical repairs, safe isolation, PPM work and wider facilities tasks.

The Role: You will support the safe and reliable running of a large operational site, carrying out electrical and facilities maintenance across building services, site equipment, compliance systems and general infrastructure. The role offers variety across planned maintenance, reactive repairs, compliance checks, contractor support and wider facilities tasks.

  • Carrying out electrical fault finding, repairs and maintenance across the site
  • Completing planned preventative maintenance tasks
  • Supporting emergency lighting testing and repairs
  • Supporting fire alarm testing and first response activity
  • Carrying out safe isolation and following LOTO procedures
  • Supporting fixed wire remedial work following EICRs
  • Working on site services including heating, hot water, ventilation and general building services
  • Supporting maintenance of site equipment such as balers, compactors and roller shutter doors
  • Assisting with sprinkler system checks, repairs and associated equipment
  • Carrying out compliance checks and updating maintenance records
  • Booking out parts correctly and flagging restock requirements
  • Using the building management system to support heating and lighting efficiency
  • Keeping internal teams updated on work progress
  • Supporting general facilities, housekeeping and improvement work
  • Participating in the standby and call-out rota when required

What We’re Looking For:

  • Essential Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial, commercial, warehouse, logistics, facilities or building services environment
  • Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent electrical training
  • 18th Edition or equivalent electrical qualification
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing, or equivalent
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and repair experience
  • Experience working safely on electrical systems, including isolation procedures
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety, risk assessments and safe working practices
  • Flexible approach to facilities, building services and general site maintenance
  • Willingness to participate in a paid standby and call-out rota

Desirable:

  • Mechanical maintenance experience or good practical mechanical knowledge
  • Experience with ventilation, air conditioning plant, sprinkler systems or building services
  • Experience with balers, compactors, roller shutter doors or similar site equipment
  • Pneumatics or hydraulics experience
  • Experience using a building management system
  • Previous warehouse, logistics or distribution site experience
