Salary: £47,000 basic OTE / Earnings: Up to £49,452 per annum including Saturday rota, with potential earnings up to £51,452 with EV qualification

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings paid at 1.5x

ISQ Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced LCV Master Technician to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in the Heathrow area.

This is a strong opportunity for a skilled Master Technician, LCV Technician, Van Technician, Diagnostic Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician or Vehicle Mechanic with confident diagnostic ability and a strong background in light commercial vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.

You will be joining a professional, well-equipped workshop where you will carry out advanced diagnostics, repairs, routine maintenance and servicing on customer vehicles, while also supporting the development of technicians and apprentices.

The Role

As an LCV Master Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out high-level diagnostic work, technical repairs, servicing and maintenance across a range of light commercial vehicles.

You will also play an important role in supporting technical standards within the workshop, helping less experienced technicians develop their skills and ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and efficiently.

Master Technician qualifications from any manufacturer will be considered, with proof of qualification required. A training needs assessment will be completed during probation to identify any additional training needed to transfer your current skills across to the required commercial vehicle standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out advanced diagnostics, fault finding and technical repairs on light commercial vehicles
  • Complete routine servicing, maintenance and inspections to a high standard
  • Repair customer vehicles efficiently and accurately
  • Support other technicians with technical guidance and problem-solving
  • Assist with the development of apprentices and less experienced workshop staff
  • Maintain accurate job cards, repair notes and service documentation
  • Work closely with the service team to keep jobs progressing smoothly
  • Follow workshop processes, manufacturer standards and health and safety procedures
  • Manage workloads effectively and work to agreed deadlines
  • Contribute to a positive, professional and productive workshop environment

What We're Looking For

  • Master Technician qualification from any manufacturer
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience
  • Experience working on light commercial vehicles, vans or commercial vehicles
  • Level 3 qualification preferred, although time-served technicians with over 5 years' proven experience will be considered
  • Brand accreditation in diagnostics would be beneficial
  • EV qualification would be advantageous and may increase earning potential
  • Good technical understanding and a problem-solving approach
  • Confident communicator who can support technicians and work well with the service team
  • Organised, flexible and able to manage a varied workload
  • Strong understanding of health and safety requirements in a workshop environment
