We are recruiting on behalf of a leading commercial vehicle workshop in the Heathrow area seeking a skilled professional to join their diagnostic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for technicians who enjoy technical problem-solving, accuracy, and working with respected LCV brands.
About the Role
As an LCV Diagnostic Technician, you will take on advanced vehicle diagnostics as well as maintenance and repair tasks. Daily responsibilities include:
- Completing technical diagnostic appointments
- Performing routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
- Advising on repair requirements and solution paths
- Ensuring all work meets manufacturer and compliance standards
- Keeping job cards, service paperwork, and digital records updated
- Supporting workshop efficiency and delivering high-quality workmanship
- Following structured diagnostic and repair processes
Technicians from any manufacturer background are encouraged to apply — crossover training to commercial vehicle standards will be provided.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong experience in LCV, automotive, or commercial diagnostics
- Level 3 qualification preferred (NVQ/City & Guilds)
- Experienced technicians with 5+ years' time served also considered
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Able to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
- Good communicator with a professional approach
- Knowledge of workshop processes and safety standards
- Desirable:
- Manufacturer diagnostic accreditation
- EV training/qualification (adds £2,000 to annual earnings)
