Salary: Up to £45,000 basic

OTE: £60,000+ per year (uncapped)

We are recruiting on behalf of a major commercial vehicle workshop in London that is expanding its technical team. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled HGV professional who enjoys fault-finding, complex diagnostics, and working on leading heavy vehicle brands.

Joining a busy and well-equipped HGV workshop, you will be responsible for:

  • Handling diagnostic appointments and advanced fault investigation
  • Completing mechanical repairs and rectifying faults found during inspections
  • Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance to manufacturer standards
  • Ensuring high levels of workmanship and compliance with safety procedures
  • Updating job cards and maintaining accurate repair documentation
  • Supporting service productivity and efficient workshop flow
  • Participating in regular technical training to enhance your skill set
  • Working to manufacturer guidelines and delivering quality-focused results

Shift Pattern - Alternating Weeks:

  • Week 1: Monday-Friday, 06:00-14:00 (unpaid break)
  • Week 2: Monday-Friday, 14:00-22:00 (unpaid break)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Diagnostic-level experience working on HGVs
  • Manufacturer diagnostic accreditation preferred
  • Level 3 qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) desirable
  • Time-served technicians with 5+ years experience also considered
  • Strong diagnostic ability and technical problem-solving skills
  • Flexible, organised, and able to work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Understanding of health & safety requirements in a commercial workshop

Highly desirable experience:

  • Diagnostic accreditation from any HGV manufacturer
  • IRTEC qualification
  • LGV/HGV/PCV licence
  • Roadside assistance training
  • Bus/coach experience
