Assistant Farm Manager Location: Lincolnshire Salary: Attractive, Dependent on experience Hours: 7:00am–3:30pm, working six days on and two days off Accommodation: No accommodation is provided with this position ISQ Recruitment is recruiting an Assistant Farm Manager for an established poultry breeding business. Based at its poultry rearing farm in Lincolnshire, this is an opportunity for someone with farming and people-management experience to take the next step towards farm management. About the role Working alongside the Farm Manager, you will take a hands-on role in the daily running of the farm. You will supervise the farm team, coordinate workloads, maintain operational standards and provide cover when the Farm Manager is absent. The position could suit an existing Poultry Team Leader or Farm Supervisor, or someone from another farming background with people-management experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility.    Key duties Supporting the Farm Manager with the daily running of the farm and providing cover when required. Supervising the farm team, allocating work and maintaining agreed standards. Carrying out practical flock-management duties while maintaining animal welfare and biosecurity. Monitoring farm performance, health and safety, equipment and working processes. Supporting bird intakes, depletions and specialist flock testing, with training provided. Responding to farm alarms and completing out-of-hours chick checks when required. What we are looking for Experience within farming or agriculture, with poultry experience beneficial. Previous experience supervising or managing people. Good knowledge of animal husbandry, welfare and biosecurity. A confident, practical and organised approach. Flexibility to meet the operational requirements of the farm. Basic IT skills and a full driving licence.
