Are you an analytical laboratory professional who enjoys developing test methods, interpreting experimental data and investigating technical problems rather than carrying out repetitive routine testing?
ISQ Recruitment is recruiting an Advanced Laboratory Technician to join a medical device product development team. You will evaluate inhalation device prototypes and formulations, develop laboratory methods and generate the technical data needed to support product development.
Candidates with stronger analytical chemistry or inhalation product experience may take on a broader technical remit, with greater ownership of analytical methods, experimental workstreams and technical documentation.
The role
- Develop, optimise and document laboratory and analytical test methods
- Evaluate device prototypes and formulations using analytical and physical test equipment
- Generate, analyse and interpret experimental data
- Investigate unexpected results and product performance issues
- Support aerosol characterisation and inhalation product testing
- Prepare laboratory reports and technical documentation
What we are looking for
- Experience within an analytical, pharmaceutical, medical device or product development laboratory
- Practical involvement in method development, optimisation or validation
- Confidence analysing data and investigating unusual results
- Experience producing laboratory reports or controlled technical documentation
- The ability to take ownership of assigned experiments and testing activities
- Experience with HPLC, UV-Vis, fluorescence, drug or formulation testing, inhalation products, SMI/DPI devices or aerosol characterisation would be particularly relevant.
This position is focused on development and investigative laboratory work rather than routine quality-control sample testing.
