Overview

Technician – Electrically biased position in Norfolk. Workshop-based role focused on the assembly and fitting of electrical and mechanical systems. Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm with overtime available (some weekends if required). Salary negotiable, DOE.

ISQ Recruitment is supporting a growing engineering business in Norfolk to recruit an Electrically Biased Technician to join the workshop team. The company is open to applicants with transferable skills and will provide training in electrical systems for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out assembly and fitting tasks to specification
  • Route and install high and low-voltage cables (training provided where needed)
  • Assemble cooling and HVAC systems
  • Fabricate brackets and supports for cabling and hoses
  • Identify and resolve build issues, escalating where required
  • Support continuous improvement and safe working practices

What We’re Looking For – Essential

  • Background in engineering, manufacturing, or mechanical assembly
  • Confidence using hand and power tools
  • Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills
  • Good communication skills and teamworking approach
  • Health & safety awareness

Desirable

  • Previous electrical build or wiring experience
  • IMI, NVQ, or other technical qualifications
  • Awareness of hybrid/electric systems
  • First Aid or Fire Warden training
  • Full UK driving licence
