ISQ Recruitment is supporting a growing engineering business in Norfolk, looking to recruit a Technician Supervisor. The company welcomes applications from skilled technicians who are ready to step up, as well as those with existing supervisory experience. Training and support will be available for the right person.
Responsibilities
- Lead, guide, and support a small team of technicians in day-to-day tasks
- Carry out and oversee mechanical/electrical assembly and build work
- Plan and allocate tasks, ensuring work is completed to specification and schedule
- Supervise build and inspection processes, identifying and resolving issues
- Maintain safe systems of work, including permits and daily briefings
- Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, and Procurement teams to keep builds moving
- Keep accurate records, job cards, and progress updates
- Highlight improvements in processes, tooling, and workflow
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in engineering, manufacturing, or mechanical/electrical assembly
- Confidence reading technical drawings and following work instructions
- Strong practical skills with hand and power tools
- Awareness of Health & Safety and a commitment to safe working practices
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Interest in developing leadership skills (previous supervisory experience an advantage but not essential)
Desirable
- Technical qualifications (IMI, NVQ, or similar)
- Knowledge of hybrid/electric systems
- First Aid or Fire Warden training
- Full UK driving licence (Cat D or Cat C2 an advantage, not essential)
