ISQ Recruitment are exclusively supporting a well-established, family-owned manufacturing business in Norfolk with the appointment of an Operations Manager. This role would suit someone who enjoys being part of a smaller business where they can work closely with the owners, make decisions quickly and have a genuine impact on day-to-day operations.

You will lead a production team of around 40 employees, taking a visible role across the factory while supporting performance, developing people and helping the business continue to improve its processes, standards and overall efficiency.

Please note this client does not offer visa sponsorship. Only candidates with full right to work in the UK and relevant experience will be considered.

The Role

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the factory runs smoothly, production teams are well supported, and operational standards continue to improve. This is a practical, hands-on management role where you will be expected to spend time on the factory floor, build strong working relationships and work closely with the owners and wider management team.

  • Lead and support production teams to achieve operational objectives
  • Maintain a visible presence across the factory and build strong working relationships
  • Drive improvements in manufacturing processes, quality and hygiene standards
  • Ensure production schedules, compliance requirements and customer expectations are met
  • Support the implementation of new procedures and improved working practices
  • Work closely with the owners and wider management team to improve efficiency
  • Support, develop and motivate the team to maintain high standards across the operation
  • Help create a positive, accountable and well-organised working environment

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in an Operations, Production or Manufacturing Management role
  • A background within food manufacturing, feed production or a similar production environment
  • Experience managing teams within a busy manufacturing or production setting
  • Strong communication skills and a practical leadership style
  • The ability to engage, motivate and develop people
  • Experience improving processes, standards and operational performance
  • A hands-on, organised and visible approach to management
