ISQ Recruitment is working on behalf of a leading food manufacturing business in the Norwich area to recruit a Hygiene Operative.
This is a hands‑on role responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the production, warehouse and ancillary areas of the site. If you have experience within industrial hygiene, understand the importance of food manufacturing standards and are comfortable working independently on an evening/night shift, we would like to hear from you.
Role Overview
As a Hygiene Operative, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining factory and ancillary areas in line with site procedures, hygiene standards and health and safety requirements. You will work closely with the production team to help maintain GMP standards and ensure working areas remain clean, safe and ready for production.
Responsibilities
- Clean factory, warehouse and ancillary areas using approved cleaning chemicals and equipment to the required hygiene standards
- Replenish PPE and cleaning chemicals and complete chemical stock checks
- Support production teams in maintaining GMP and hygiene standards
- Remove debris and waste from production areas and dispose of it correctly
- Keep working areas clean, organised and safe
- Follow site hygiene, COSHH and health and safety procedures
Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience within industrial hygiene
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
- COSHH training or relevant experience working safely with cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of hygiene within a manufacturing environment
