ISQ Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well‑established commercial vehicle dealership in the Kidderminster area. This is a great opportunity for a qualified technician looking to join a professional workshop environment where quality, safety and compliance are at the heart of the role. You will be responsible for keeping customer vehicles on the road through planned maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive technical team with ongoing manufacturer training, annual appraisals and clear progression opportunities. This role would suit someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working as part of a team and is confident delivering repairs to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out major and minor repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Complete regular inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose faults and work with the wider workshop team to plan repairs
- Maintain accurate vehicle records and complete all required paperwork
- Support warranty processes and escalated technical matters as required
- Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting where needed
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to agreed timescales
- Maintain a clean, organised and compliant workshop environment
Candidate Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance, such as NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI
- Experience carrying out diagnostics, servicing and repairs on HGVs or commercial vehicles
- Strong understanding of DVSA standards and vehicle safety requirements
- Ability to identify worn or faulty components accurately
- Full UK driving licence, ideally with relevant vehicle classes
- Good attention to detail and strong time management skills
- Reliable, motivated and able to work well within a busy workshop team
