This is a great opportunity to shape the technical direction of a well-run, forward-thinking food manufacturing site, supported by an experienced senior leadership team.
We’re recruiting for a Head of Technical to lead the Technical and Hygiene functions, ensuring standards are maintained, systems continuously improved, and customer expectations consistently met.
This role would suit someone already operating at Head of Technical level or a strong Technical Manager ready to take the next step.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and develop the Technical and Hygiene functions
- Manage and improve QMS systems
- Deliver the site’s technical strategy and lead BRC audits
- Oversee customer codes of practice and technical standards
- Work closely with NPD and Operations teams
- Provide technical guidance to the wider leadership team
What You’ll Bring:
- Level 4 Food Safety & HACCP
- Experience with BRC Issue 9 and retailer audits
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Background in protein or poultry manufacturing (breaded/coated experience beneficial)
- Experience at senior level within a Technical function
- Confident communicator able to influence across departments
- Full UK driving licence and your own transport
