This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on farming experience to take the next step in their career and play a key role in the day-to-day management of a successful poultry farm.
About the Role:
As Assistant Farm Manager, you'll work closely with the Farm Manager to ensure the smooth running of the site, focusing on high standards of welfare, quality, and efficiency. You'll help lead a team, maintain excellent farm conditions, and ensure that production targets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Farm Manager with daily operations and take charge during their absence
- Maintain high standards of animal welfare at all times
- Oversee feeding, lighting, heating, ventilation, and general stock care
- Motivate and guide farm staff to achieve production goals
- Manage contractors and ensure all work meets required standards
- Monitor and maintain site security, including alarms
- Keep the site clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety policies
- Attend training as required and complete any additional duties when needed

- Strong understanding of stock care and farm operations
- Good organisation and time management skills
