About the Role:

As Assistant Farm Manager, you'll work closely with the Farm Manager to ensure the smooth running of the site, focusing on high standards of welfare, quality, and efficiency. You'll help lead a team, maintain excellent farm conditions, and ensure that production targets are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Farm Manager with daily operations and take charge during their absence
  • Maintain high standards of animal welfare at all times
  • Oversee feeding, lighting, heating, ventilation, and general stock care
  • Motivate and guide farm staff to achieve production goals
  • Manage contractors and ensure all work meets required standards
  • Monitor and maintain site security, including alarms
  • Keep the site clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety policies
  • Attend training as required and complete any additional duties when needed
