Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

Basic Salary: £28,000 per annum

OTE: Up to £40,000 per annum including bonus

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm, plus 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:30am - 12:00pm

ISQ Recruitment is working with a well-established and respected automotive dealership seeking a confident, customer-focused Service Advisor to join its busy aftersales team.

You'll be joining a professional and supportive environment where your automotive experience, communication skills and ability to build customer relationships will be valued.

The Role

As a Service Advisor, you'll be the main point of contact between customers and the workshop, ensuring a smooth and professional experience from vehicle booking through to collection.

You'll work closely with Vehicle Technicians, Workshop Controllers and the wider Aftersales team to ensure customers receive clear communication, accurate advice and excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and manage vehicle service, MOT and repair bookings.
• Act as the main point of contact throughout the customer journey.
• Explain servicing, maintenance and repair requirements clearly and professionally.
• Prepare accurate estimates, invoices and service documentation.
• Liaise with Vehicle Technicians and workshop staff to monitor repair progress.
• Identify opportunities to recommend additional maintenance and repair work where appropriate.
• Keep customers informed of vehicle progress and completion times.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve concerns professionally.
• Support the dealership in achieving customer satisfaction and aftersales performance targets.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor is essential.
• Experience within a main dealer, franchised dealership or busy automotive service department.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good understanding of vehicle servicing, MOTs, maintenance and repairs.
• Confidence discussing additional work and service recommendations with customers.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload.
• Comfortable using dealership management systems and booking software.
• A professional, positive attitude with a genuine focus on customer satisfaction.
• A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
