We are currently recruiting for a Legal Secretary to be based at our Pontefract office. The role will involve providing administrative support to solicitors and fee earners undertaking wills & probate work. The ability to deliver a friendly, professional, quality service in all dealings with clients and other parties is essential. The successful applicant will have a pleasant, helpful manner, strong organisational skills and will enjoy working under pressure, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high levels of accuracy while doing so. This is an entry‑level role with great opportunities for development if the successful applicant shows the right attitude and skills.
KEY TASKS
- Filing applications with the Probate Registry and the Office of the Public Guardian
- Producing documents from the Case Management System
- Dealing with a high volume of telephone queries
- Keeping clients and other parties updated with progress of matters
- Scanning, copying and filing documents
- Assisting solicitors and colleagues with matters at all stages of the transaction, from file opening to archiving in accordance with office and accounts procedures

EXPERIENCE
- Wills and Probate experience is desired but not essential
- Previous administrative and/or reception experience is highly desirable
