We’re seeking an English speaker with formal training in phonetics to create phonetic transcriptions for a provided list of words.
Duration: 6 October – 30 October 2025 (remote)
Hours: Up to 35 hours total
Rate: $26 USD/hour
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate phonetic transcriptions for given word lists.
- Follow project style guidelines; maintain consistency across entries.
- Flag ambiguities/variants (e.g., dialectal, morphological) according to the brief.
- Perform self-QC and revise based on reviewer feedback.
Requirements
- English speaker.
- Degree or formal coursework in Linguistics/Phonetics (or equivalent experience).
- Strong command of English phonology (stress, vowel quality, allophony).
- Detail-oriented; able to document edge cases clearly.

- Contract, remote.
