A well-established South London law firm, now part of a larger legal group, is seeking an experienced Property Solicitor to join its Sutton office as part of a planned succession strategy ahead of a senior partner’s retirement at the end of the year. This is a rare opportunity for a senior solicitor to inherit a substantial and long-standing client base and take on a leadership role within a highly regarded local practice.
Role
You will join a close-knit team of five in a fully office-based position, working alongside the current Director of the Sutton office during a structured handover period. The caseload is predominantly residential property, with additional high-street commercial work, including:
- Commercial leases
- Residential development matters
- Mixed residential/commercial transactions
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Property Solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE
- Strong residential conveyancing background with commercial property experience
- A desire to establish long-term roots in the Sutton area
- Able to work five days per week in the office (no hybrid or remote working)
- Based locally or within commuting distance (e.g. Epsom, Croydon, Guildford, Kingston)
- Ambitious, commercially aware, and interested in leadership

£60,000 – £72,000
