Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting solicitors with a broad range of private client matters, including wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, and inheritance tax planning.
  • Supporting Court of Protection solicitors on deputyship applications, statutory wills, gifting applications, and ongoing deputyship administration.
  • Drafting legal documents, including wills, lasting powers of attorney, trust deeds, Court of Protection applications, and supporting documentation.
  • Preparing legal research, case summaries, and correspondence.
  • Liaising with clients, family members, deputies, financial advisers, medical professionals, and external organisations to progress matters efficiently.
  • Assisting with estate and deputyship account management, inheritance tax calculations, and financial reporting where required.
  • Managing client files, compliance checks, document preparation, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth case progression.
  • Supporting the team with business development initiatives and maintaining excellent client relationships.
