Our Service Controllers provide top-level customer service, working within a busy Service Department, dealing with our customers across the UK which are made up of garages, tyre shops, body shops and MOT stations. They are outstanding communicators, who work as part of a dedicated customer service team to ensure all jobs are progressed in a prompt and timely manner, to match the premium equipment being supplied. If you are a good communicator and enjoy the idea of planning and working together with our external sales team and engineers to ensure a smooth-running pre-installation and Aftersales Department, then this is a great career opportunity!

Purpose of the Post

To schedule service work for our engineers ensuring the customer is informed all the way through to completion. A knowledge of garage equipment would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Answering incoming calls, taking messages, and re‑directing calls as required
  • Nationwide scheduling of installations and service work for engineers
  • Liaising with our Spares Department to ensure parts are in stock before arranging service work
  • Liaising with our engineers to ensure jobs will be carried out within the time frame
  • Reporting any issues with the jobs to your line manager
  • Contacting customers with expected visit dates

Skills required

  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Basic knowledge of Sage 200 accounts
  • UK Driving licence
  • An ability to prioritise and balance multiple workloads
  • Customer Service experience would be desired but is not essential as full training will be given.
