The Crew Relations Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR division for crew related issues. This includes managing the berthing and par level processes for all crew members and providing reports for each voyage. The role coordinates the crew emergency plan numbers and assists the Crew Administrator with Crew Immigration/Customs during the sign-on and sign-off process, which includes assigning name badges and cabin keys at sign-on and collecting these at sign-off. Responsibilities also include coordinating repatriation for all crew by providing re-employment letters, processing all employee cruise requests with shoreside, organising crew activities/events, and managing crew welfare. Additionally, the specialist performs HR administrative duties as directed by the HR Manager.

Responsibilities:
- Engage in physical and verbal interactions with guests or fellow shipboard employees in guest contact and crew areas.
- Provide information and services to shipboard employees regarding orientating, assigning, and retrieving berthing, equipment, and written literature.
- Issue cabins and bulk assignments to all Officers, Staff, and Crew.
- Record all cabin and crew changes and prepare berthing reports for each voyage.
- Assign crew emergency numbers, name badges, and cabin keys, and collect all items when shipboard employees sign off.
- Assist with the crew sign-on and sign-off process, reviewing immigration documentation to determine validity.
- Ensure accuracy of employee records.
- Conduct/coordinate weekly cabin inspections and report discrepancies.
- Help organise and deliver activities for the crew that foster good shipboard employee morale and assist in managing the Crew Welfare Fund.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year prior administrative experience within the hospitality industry.
- Working knowledge of onboard computer systems, internet access, and ability to navigate various software packages such as MS Office.
- Fluent in conversational and written English, hospitable with a positive attitude.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Completion of high school or basic education equivalency preferred.
- Ability to work positively and cooperatively in a diverse team environment and interact with a wide variety of ethnic diversity.
