The Crew Relation Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR division for crew related issues. This includes managing the berthing and par level processes for all crew members and providing reports for each voyage. The role coordinates the crew emergency plan numbers and assists the Crew Administrator with Crew Immigration/Customs during the sign-on and sign-off process, which involves assigning name badges and cabin keys at sign-on and collecting these at sign-off.
Responsibilities include:

- Processing all employee cruise requests with shoreside.
- Organising crew activities/events and managing crew welfare.
- Performing HR administrative duties as directed by the HR Manager.

Responsibilities include physical and verbal interactions with guests or fellow shipboard employees and/or in the presence of guest contact and crew areas. The role provides information and services to shipboard employees regarding orientating, assigning, and retrieving berthing, equipment, and written literature. It also involves issuing cabins and bulk assignments to all Officers, Staff, and Crew, recording all cabin and crew changes, and preparing berthing reports for each voyage.
Key tasks include:
- Assigning crew emergency numbers, name badges, and cabin keys.
- Collecting all items when shipboard employees sign off.
- Assisting with the crew sign-on and sign-off process, reviewing immigration documentation such as passports, visas, Alien Resident Cards (ARC), Letters of Re-Employment, etc., to determine validity of documents.
- Referring unusual documentation to the Crew Admin Manager and HR Manager.
- Ensuring accuracy of employee records.
- Conducting/Coordinating weekly cabin inspections and reporting discrepancies.
- Helping organise and deliver activities for the crew that foster good shipboard employee morale.
- Assisting in managing the Crew Welfare Fund.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year prior administrative experience within the hospitality industry.
- Working knowledge of onboard computer systems, internet access, and the ability to navigate within various software packages such as MS Office.
- Fluent in conversational and written English, hospitable with a positive attitude.
- Minimum 21 years old.
- Completion of high school or basic education equivalency preferred.
- Ability to work positively and cooperatively in a diverse team environment and to interact with a wide variety of ethnic diversity.
- Excellent interpersonal and people skills.
