Duties
- Ensure delivery of financial performance in partnership with the School in line with the University Financial Plan.
- You will influence decision-making, drive change and foster collaboration, inclusion and continuous improvement.
- Key responsibilities include stakeholder and budget management, financial planning, forecasting and year-end delivery, alongside training for budget holders.
- You will provide insightful financial reporting and analysis, including staffing, student numbers, Programme profitability and business cases, while ensuring robust controls, compliance, value for money and continuous process improvement.
- Degree educated (or equivalent experience) with significant accounting expertise and strong financial management skills.
- You will be customer-focused, highly organised and able to manage competing priorities to tight deadlines, working independently with sound judgement.
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills are essential, alongside the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders and solve complex problems.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, accountability, governance, compliance and value for money is key.
- Qualified accountant status and post-qualification experience are desirable.
