We are looking for new Shared Lives Carers to join our team. Islington Shared Lives offers adults and young people (aged 16 and over) who require care and support, the opportunity to be matched with a Shared Lives carer in their community.

Shared Lives carers can provide day support, respite, or long term (live in) support where the individual can become part of the carer's extended family.

Who can be a Shared Lives carer? Being a Shared Lives carer is a rewarding job and can be done by anyone who:

  • Can communicate effectively
  • Is flexible, committed and caring
  • Has a spare bedroom (if providing live in support only)

Rates of pay:

  • Day – £97.34 (7 hours) or £48.67 (3.5 hours)
  • Respite – £129.33 per night
