About The Role

Margaret McMillan Nursery School and Children’s Centre is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Senior Nursery Education Worker to join our warm, highly skilled team.

As a Senior Nursery Education Worker, you will:

  • Lead and support a team of practitioners (qualified and unqualified)
  • Organise and manage the daily and weekly running of your room
  • Deliver a high-quality, engaging curriculum aligned with the EYFS
  • Plan for both individual and group needs, supporting all areas of development
  • Create a nurturing, stimulating environment where children can thrive
  • Promote children’s independence, confidence, and wellbeing
  • Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals
  • Contribute to identifying and supporting the needs of local families

What we are looking for:

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience working with children aged 0–5
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive, positive, and reflective approach to your practice
  • The ability to lead, motivate and develop others
