Permanent Contract – 0.6 (3 days). Salary Grade Range: MPS/UPS + SENDCo allowance. Robert Blair School is a one form entry primary school with Under 3’s provision situated close to Caledonian Road in Islington. In September 2025, Robert Blair formed a federation with Hargrave Park School in Archway. Both are small maintained community schools, committed to working together to ensure high quality, inclusive provision for our children. The position is non-class based. Role

The appointee will work closely with the Head of School, Pastoral Care Manager and leaders at all levels to support a provision where belonging, thriving and achieving are secured through a positive, inclusive culture. You will have strong leadership skills, directing a small team of LSAs in our internally resourced provision. You will have a deep understanding of strategies and approaches to tailor provision for individuals and small groups to ensure their progress. You will advise and support across the school as our lead SEND expert so that staff are able to provide rich ordinarily available provision (OAP) for all children in their class. The role has responsibility to be the lead SEND expert, ensuring high quality inclusive provision and supporting staff across the school.

  • Develop and implement strategies and approaches tailored to individuals and small groups to secure progress in small steps.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to promote belonging, thriving and achievement for all pupils.
  • Work with the Head of School, Pastoral Care Manager and others to maintain high standards of safeguarding and inclusion.

Qualifications and Considerations
