Join Islington Council's Legal Services Team and play a key role in supporting the Council's regulatory, licensing and enforcement functions. You will manage a complex caseload of prosecutions and licensing matters, provide high quality legal advice to client departments, represent the Council in Courts and Tribunals, and act as Legal Adviser to Licensing Committees and Sub-Committees.
We are looking for a qualified lawyer that can be a Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive with strong knowledge of criminal litigation and local authority enforcement work. Experience of advocacy and case preparation is essential, together with excellent communication skills and a commitment to public service.
