We are looking for a Reward Partner (Job Families) to join our Pay and Reward Team on a fixed‑term contract until June 2028, working on the Job Architecture project, which forms part of the Council’s wider Pay & Reward Programme.
This role supports the design, implementation and embedding of Islington Council’s Job Families Framework, helping to ensure fairness, consistency and transparency. Working closely with the Senior Reward Partner and Project Manager & Data Analyst, you will provide expert analytical input, high‑quality documentation and practical advice that supports organisational design, workforce planning and equitable pay practices.
What you’ll do:
- Support the development and quality assurance of job family descriptors, level criteria and guidance
- Analyse roles and support the mapping of jobs into job families
- Support the full job evaluation lifecycle, including evidence preparation, panels and moderation
- Produce clear guidance, FAQs, process maps and training materials
- Provide first‑line specialist advice to managers and HR colleagues
- Maintain accurate records, audit trails and version control to ensure quality and compliance
What we’re looking for:
You will have experience working in reward, job evaluation or a related HR environment, with a strong understanding of job evaluation principles and equal pay. You’ll be analytical, detail‑focused and confident explaining technical concepts clearly, with a collaborative and supportive approach. Job evaluation training, experience drafting guidance, or knowledge of local government HR practice would be an advantage.
