London Borough of Islington has a vacancy in the Notice Processing Team. The post is based in Manchester (Ashton‑Under‑Lyne) but London‑based applicants may be offered the role, which would include inner‑London weighting in the salary. The successful candidate will be able to work from home some days of the week.
Responsibilities
The Correspondence Officer is responsible for investigating appeals against parking tickets, making decisions in line with existing policy and responding in a customer‑focused manner. The role involves handling large volumes of correspondence with a high level of accuracy and quality. Tasks include dealing with written enquiries, challenging representations and appeals relating to Penalty Charge Notices, and collaborating with colleagues across Islington’s Parking Operations.
